Tuesday Video Tips: Optical Image Stabilization 101

Image stabilization has been around for quite a while, but it’s only the newer “optical image stabilization,” or, OIS, that adjusts for shakiness caused by camera movement. OIS reacts to stimulus in real time and makes sure that the path between the lens and the sensor is perfectly aligned before the subject is captured – allowing for better focus.

The great people over at Techquickie were kind enough to make a video to explain the gyroscopic technology that goes into allowing optical image stabilization to work.
